The Volvo 3CC has a unique two-plus-one configuration providing seating for 3 adults.  The 3CC does look unmistakably like a Volvo.  This zero emission concept has a limited top speed of 85mph and will get to 62mph in 10 seconds.  The electric power coming from lithium-ion cells lined in the thin sandwich floor.  

The 3CCs aim is to enhance sustainable mobility.  It is not only fuel efficient but versatile and comfortable and safe and is said to offer an exciting drive.  This is done using lightweight materials and being aerodynamic.

Volvo opted to give the Volvo 3CC a high strength steel space frame and composite sandwich floor panels for safety and lightweight. The outer body is a bonded one piece carbon fibre shell. The resulting chassis rigidity and its innovative suspension also give the car great handling characteristics while being flexible to take any powertrain.
