Ford was the first vehicle manufacturer in Europe to offer
production passenger vehicles with Flexifuel vehicle (FFV)
Technology. Priced at a similar level to their petrol-only
equivalents, with all the advantages of bio-ethanol, they’re not
only good for the environment, but equally good for your wallet.
Engines and transmissions
New C-MAX has a wide range of powerful
engines. Each one offers a lively responsive drive combined with
excellent fuel economy and will respond quickly to every challenge
you face. A wide choice of efficient petrol and diesel engines is
available with four petrol and three diesel options. And new for new
C-MAX is the environmentally-friendly 1.8-litre Duratec Flexifuel
engine.
You can also select from four petrol
options: the smooth and responsive 1.6-litre, 1.8-litre or 2.0-litre
Duratec petrol engines, all available with a 5-speed manual
transmission. Or, for power combined with a 4-speed automatic
transmission, select the 2.0-litre Duratec petrol engine.
Diesel fans can choose the state-of-the-art 2.0-litre Duratorq TDCi
diesel engine, available with a 6-speed manual transmission. Or
select from two 1.6-litre TDCi Duratorq diesels, one at 90PS and one
at 110PS; the 110PS variant is available with diesel particulate
filter (DPF).
