Piaggio Commercial Vehicles will be
exhibiting at the Post-Expo show to be held at ExCel in London. Piaggio
Commercial Vehicles will be displaying a zero emission Piaggio Porter electric van.
The Porter electric van is particularly
ideal for businesses, such as couriers, operating small fleets of
vehicles in busy cities as daily running costs are minimal. Opting for a
Porter electric van could give rise to significant savings as the
vehicle is exempt from Congestion Charging and Vehicle Excise Duty,
providing a perfect solution for businesses looking to save money.
Highly compact, the Porter electric van
has impressive manoeuvrability making it easy to deliver to the most
restricted locations. With twin side loading doors and a full height
opening rear tailgate, access to load and unload could not be easier as
this is possible from all sides of the vehicle. The Porter electric van
is supplied in left-hand drive which ensures safety for the driver of
the vehicle when making deliveries on busy roads as they can avoid
stepping out into traffic.
The Porter electric range of vehicles
are very environmentally friendly as they use long life Lead-Gel
batteries which are maintenance-free and produce zero emissions. All
Porter electric vehicles have a range of approximately 80 miles* and
recharging is very simple as two options are available; a standard 8
hour charge through a 13 amp socket or a faster 2 hour charge using 3
phase supply.
Currently the Porter electric range is
available in 6 different body types; Panel Van, MPV, Pick Up, Big Deck,
Tipper and Chassis Cab. Across the range, payload capacities range from
440kg for the electric MPV to 560kg for the electric Big Deck, with the
electric van capable of 470kg.
The Piaggio Porter range is also
available in petrol in 2 wheel-drive and 4 wheel-drive versions in the
same body types. With prices starting from £6,495, it’s easy to see
why the Porter range has been awarded What Van? Best Microvan for four
consecutive years now.
