Citroën has three of its comprehensive
range of light commercial vehicles on display at the Recycling & Waste
Management Show (NEC, 11-13 September 2007). Citroën offers a wide
choice of fuel efficient, low emission, diesel powered lcvs, which can
all run on up to 30 per cent bio diesel without modification. Citroën
also offers a wide range of specialist bodied vehicles (tippers,
dropsides, minibuses, glass carrying vehicles) as part of its newly
expanded Ready to Run range.
On display at the RWM show is the
Dispatch L1H1 90hp panel van. Introduced earlier this year the all-new
Citroën Dispatch now includes short and long wheelbase versions and a
high roof model. Dependent on model, there is a choice of 90, 120 and
136hp fuel efficient HDi diesel engines, and 1000 or 1200kg payloads.
All Dispatch vans have dual passenger seats and Trafficmaster Smartnav
satellite navigation and Trackstar stolen vehicle tracking systems are
fitted as standard.
In addition to the panel van, the new
Dispatch range also includes a wide choice of short and long wheelbase
Combi models which are available in 5, 6, 8 and 9 seat configurations
and two trim levels.
Citroën’s recently launched Relay range
includes over 70 models, with panel van, chassis cab, chassis crew cab,
Combi and Combi crew van versions available. In addition, as part of
the Citroën Ready to Run range, specialist bodied Relays
including tippers, dropsides and minibuses are available.
On show, and priced from just £12,995 +
VAT is the Citroën Ready to Run Relay tipper. Built by
Tipmaster, the UK’s largest supplier of 3.5 tonne gvw tipper packages,
the Ready to Run Relay tipper has a payload of up to 1,280kg.
This exceptionally well-priced package has the highest payload of any
Tipmaster 3.5 tonne gvw tipper conversion.
As standard the Ready to Run
Tipmaster tipper package, which is built on a 3.5 tonne gvw Relay 35
medium wheelbase chassis cab, includes a tipper body with an all-steel
underframe, floor and headboard. The extruded alloy body dropsides and
tailboard have recessed fasteners. Tipmaster’s own-make
electro-hydraulic power pack, with its chromed under-floor scissor
action ram, tips the body. A remote, wander lead mounted control for
body tipping actuation is included as part of the package. The
Tipmaster body has been upgraded for the new Ready to Run Relay
package with a new, easier to use body prop and stronger, zinc plated
body corner pillars with recessed locking fasteners.
The Citroën Ready to Run Relay
35 Tipmaster tipper package is also available with a comprehensive range
of body options, including an all-alloy body, which increases payload by
up to 130kg, to further increase its operational capability.
Also on display is a Berlingo
Enterprise 1.6HDi van. The Berlingo van is one of the UK’s best selling
light commercial vehicles and the range includes a new dual fuel,
London Congestion Charge exempt petrol/lpg fuelled model priced at
£7,995 + VAT, as well as the Berlingo XTR+. The XTR+ offers enhanced
off-road capability without the running cost penalty of a conventional
4x4. As such the XTR+ has proved to be a popular choice for forestry,
utility companies and other businesses with a requirement for a higher
degree of off-road capability than a standard van.
