You are looking at a 1999
Citroen Saxo that has recently been converted to an
Electric Vehicle. The car runs and is capable of up to
45mph. The batteries are in fairly good condition though
I will include a couple of spare batteries
in case any turn out to be defective in any way. This
car has had over £1,700 spent on it
and would provide an ideal run around for someone who
wishes to reduce pollution and save money at the same
time.
Key benefits:
No congestion charge in
London
(save £40 per week/ £2,000 per year)
Free parking in many areas
for Electric Vehicles.
Road tax exempt- save at
least £120 per year.
Minimal servicing.
Low cost charging (approx
80p to charge overnight)
Pollution free.
Included (in addition to
the car):
Curtis controller
Curtis throttle control/
potentiometer
6 x 12v 100Ah lead acid
sealed batteries (plus spare batteries)
Motor and adaptor plate
mounted to original Saxo gearbox.
12v vacuum pump to ensure
powerful braking.
Albright contactor
Voltmeter/ ammeter
Battery
mounts
100W DC-DC converter.
100A Circuit Breaker
All of the above have been
fitted and are in situ.
Bad points: there is a
small repair that needs doing in the engine bay. It
would be a very simple/ cheap job for a mechanic or
someone with welding gear.
There is also a small dent
on the rear wing which could easily pushed back out (I
have included these two faults in the photos)
Boot lock needs replacing.
The speedo needs
reconnecting to the sensor on the gearbox, this is a
simple connection that I will try to fix before the car
is sold
The wiring could also do
with tidying up slightly. I intended to do all of the
above myself, however financial reasons prevent me from
spending any more money on the car.
Generally the car is in
excellent condition and needs a little more time to get
it perfect.
The car can be seen
running and is fully road legal. It comes with
11 months' MOT. The new owner will
have to apply for the V5, I have all the documents
necessary for the new V5 to be issued. As the car was
previously a CAT C and has passed the VIC check, this
will cost nothing as will the road tax which can be
issued at the same time. The winning bidder will have to
pay £100 deposit within 24hrs of the auction end and the
remainder within seven days
Remember, you are bidding
to buy, not to kick the proverbials.
I have set the reserve
price very low to ensure someone gets a bargain.
Sold as seen.
