There are a number of eco friendly green vans now available in the UK to assist businesses help the environment by reducing their emission and also help them reduce costs. Electric Vans have no tailpipe emission and therefore benefit from various tax incentives including paying a zero rate of road tax and being exempt from the London Congestion Charge. With new technology, the range of electric vans is improving however the vans are still more suitable to city driving, working best where a combustion engine is least efficient, for example in start-stop traffic or carrying out short distant deliveries. While the costs of electric vans are significantly higher, the government has recently announced a plug-in-van grant which offers savings up to £8,000 off the RRP.

A number of diesel vans and petrol vans are also available which take advantage of new technology such as start-stop and weight saving options. These combined with small frugal turbo charged engines to help minimise emissions and save you money on fuel and tax.
