Leading scooter
manufacturer Piaggio has today confirmed that it will unveil the latest
edition to its MP3 range of three-wheeled vehicles at the 2009 London
Motorexpo. The Piaggio MP3 LT is the first ever scooter above 125cc that
can be legally ridden with a normal car license – meaning that those
without a motorcycle license or CBT* can now enjoy the freedom of
travelling by scooter.
With its
exceptional manoeuvrability, the Piaggio MP3 is at home in city streets
or out-of- town traffic, equipped with two independent tilting front
wheels that ensure cornering stability on any surface.
The MP3 LT is the
ideal solution for all those who have thought about purchasing a scooter
for their urban transport needs, but are hindered by the fact that they
do not hold a motorcycle license. Thanks to its larger front tyre track
of 465mm, the Piaggio MP3 LT can be ridden by car license holders and
with its larger engine size it offers far greater performance than a
50cc or 125cc models to which car licence holders were previously
restricted.
In addition to its
revolutionary technology and design features, the MP3 LT is fitted with
a brake pedal and a combined braking system guaranteeing shorter
stopping distances – 20% shorter than conventional scooters – and
offering greater stability on any road conditions.
The Piaggio MP3 LT
400cc is sure to provide you with an unprecedented riding experience –
all need is a standard car driving license.
Piaggio
Group will also be displaying the most powerful Vespa ever built – the
already iconic GTS 300cc Super – as well as the Vespa S and the updated
Vespa LX.
