Technology are launching into the electric vehicle market three of

currently available to the Green-minded consumer. Coming in three
models, these Xero eScooters
will revolutionise
the way people think about electric vehicles and change attitudes
towards the morning commute.
Xero has
attempted to dispel any antiquated notions of electric scooters
being unstylish, sluggish and expensive with this new exciting range
of affordably priced vehicles. Matching the power of any fossil-fuel
powered 50cc Scooters and providing the added bonus of being a zero
emission vehicle, the range of scooters match all tastes and are
incredibly cost effective. To put this into perspective, the current
average for a litre of petrol in the UK
currently stands at around £1.20- contrast this with the cost of
running an eScooter (less than 1p per mile) and the benefits quickly

Xero who see electric vehicles as the transport of choice for the
future. Electric charge points are being established in all major
cities in the UK as part of a governmental £20 million scheme to

Indeed Xero has
shown its commitment to the customer by offering a large range of
differing styles and specs between its scooters. The Classic 3KW has
a retro design geared towards those with a love of all things Mod-
cool, hip and best of all, cheap to run. Reaching speeds of up to
30mph, this model is ideal for inner city travel and really stands
out from the crowd.
For those looking
for something a little more modern, but no less striking, then the
Urban Citi 3KW is ideal for cost effective short to medium range
travel. The added advantage of this sportier design is the amazing
added feature of a removable silicone sealed battery that can be
easily removed from the eScooter, taken off the street and charged
at your destination- satisfying those commuters without on-street
charger access.
The final eScooter
being released by Xero Technology for 2010 is the ultimate in
electric vehicles and is the ultimate counter to any argument
against the positives of electric vehicles. The Urban Tourer 5kw is
sporty, more stylish and faster than the majority of its
fossil-fueled alternatives. Reaching speeds of up to 55mph and with
a range of 60miles, this model is the highest spec Xero eScooter
available and the highest quality solution to expensive and wasteful
commuting available.
It should also be
noted that unlike the complicated engine motors of fossil fueled
vehicles, all of these vehicles are maintenance free and are powered
by brushless hub motors- saving the need for expensive and stressful
visits to a mechanic.
As proved by the
statistic provided by the World Health Organization that air
pollution causes 2 million premature deaths per year, the need for
cheap and clean urban city transport is apparent. Xero hopes to
start a wind of change to help offset the current generation’s
worries of climate change, noise pollution and unbreathable air.
